Arrival at the Brownsville Zoo.

The male  of the pair, Blade, is 14 feet long  and tips the scales at 800 pounds. Native to Venezuela and Colombia, Orinocos  are on the comeback trail after being hunted close to extinction because  of their prized  hides. Gladys Porter Zoo animal staff release a pair of Orinoco crocodiles into the open exhibit area Wednesday Oct. 19, 2011.
